Newspaper design poses a lot of interesting challenges in information design.  This is a really great case study in trying to economize and modernize a field that could definitely benefit from some smart designers.</p>

At my studio, <a href="http://welessthanthree.com" target="_blank">We &lt;3</a>, we do our best to be as green as possible, but there&#8217;s always more we could be doing.  One of the biggest benefits that we see (besides, you know, saving humanity) is saving money.  It&#8217;s generally cheaper to be green than not.  Things like riding our bikes to a shared office space and staying as paperless as possible cut down on overhead a lot.</p>

Really spot on.  Testing is probably the most underrated part of a designer&#8217;s job.  It&#8217;s important to remind ourselves that we are making something that is meant to be <em>used</em> by a <em>person</em> at some point.</p>
